Adventure Park:

My first priority was to explore Area 53 -Adventure Park, located at 616 Scholes St, Brooklyn, NY 11237. As it’s always busy, I made advanced ticket reservations to skip the long queues. You can also buy tickets on the spot, but if a session is fully booked, you may be denied entry to Adventure Park. I specifically chose Tuesday, as it was exclusively reserved for adults 18+. This vibrant section of Area 53 provided a plethora of activities, including arcade games, rock climbing, roller-skating, zip lining, and food (for additional cost).

Laser Tag:

Next on my plan was Laser Tag, located at 53 Bridge St, Brooklyn, NY 11201. I was all up for an unforgettable night out filled with games, music, and food. Note, you’re allowed to bring your own food and beverages into the facility. I participated in a few laser tagging games and had so much fun competing. Below are some laser tag options at Area 53:

Engage in the classic laser tag experience where players wield laser taggers to tag opponents from long distances. It’s an exhilarating game that will put your strategic skills to the test.

During breaks between games, take a small break and catch your breath in the lounge on the second floor. Designed with ample seating and game tables, the lounge provides the perfect space for your group to unwind and enjoy each other’s company. There is also an arena in the old factory basement, where you can spend your time between rusting columns during your break.

Ferox Athletics:

Next on my itinerary was a visit to Ferox Athletics , which I had scheduled for Thursday as it’s an exclusive entry only for 21+. Located at 72 Noble St, Brooklyn, NY 11222. I looked forward to engaging in a variety of exhilarating games and activities with my friends. We kicked off the evening with rock climbing, then gymnastics, attempting flips, cartwheels, and other impressive moves. Then we bounced on trampolines, remembering the good childhood times.

Ferox Athletics proved to be a haven of excitement, offering a diverse range of activities that catered to our inner thrill-seekers. From the challenging rock climbing to the playful gymnastics and the pure fun of trampolining, every moment was filled with laughter and a renewed sense of youthful joy.

Skyline Drive-In:

Who can say no to an outdoor movie show with the NYC skyline in the background? That seems surreal, isn’t it? This particular experience truly exceeded my expectations.

Situated at 1 Oak Street, Skyline Drive-In NYC offers a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience through its drive-in theater. Nestled by the East River, the location provides breathtaking views of the iconic Manhattan Skyline that you might be familiar with. You may recognize it from appearances on popular shows like SNL or from eye-catching advertisements by renowned brands such as Fendi. Beyond its role as a movie screening venue, Skyline Drive-In also serves as a captivating backdrop for photography and filming purposes, further showcasing its versatility and appeal as a picturesque location for creative endeavors. There are also concessions stands brimming with a selection of beverages, and food options that will fuel you throughout your theater adventure. In addition, you can also bring your own food and beverages, you are not limited to purchases at the concession stands.

Even if you don’t have a car, don’t worry. There is enough seating available to accommodate everyone. There are no ticket booth on the spot, so you have to buy purchase online. If you are bringing your car, only one ticket is needed as you are paying for the vehicle and not the amount of people you bring.

It was truly a fun time I had in Brooklyn with my friends. Each experience was different from another and provided us with the opportunity to bring out our inner child and escape from our worries. If you are visiting Brooklyn soon. I recommend you to book (if not all), at least one of these activities. If you are traveling with kids, I highly recommend looking into Adventure Park and Ferox Athletics.

With summer approaching, you know it’s that time to pack up your baby fat, stomach fat and prepare for that summer body. Many people might ask, “where should I start?” I can tell you for sure social media is not the place to start. you constantly see influencers selling you on workout plans, personal trainers or even telling you to go on a strict diet. A lot of people has done that still not able to see the results? How many have gone to the gym consistently doing all types of ab workouts that are promoted online, but still feel bloated?

Where/How to Start:

Where everyone should begin their journey is cleaning their body from the inside. So, let’s talk gas today. And no, not gasoline and its insane inflation rates right now. I’m referring to gastrointestinal issues, mainly bloating and ways to stop it. I’m not no doctor or gastrologist, but I know what worked for me when I was constantly bloated was to get a colonic. In addition, the center is only a short walk to the iconic Apollo Theater and The National Jazz Museum of Harlem, which celebrates Harlem Renaissance legends like Langston Hughes, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, and Zora Neale Hurston. I recommend checking them out if you haven’t already!

My experience at Lenox Colonic & Detox Center:

As soon as I entered the doors of Lenox Colonic & Detox, I was blown away by their hospitality. Kiya, the owner, took me on a tour of her facility and discussed all the different services offered, including colonic hydrotherapy, deep tissue massages, lymphatic drainage, and even pregnancy massages for expecting moms in NYC.

Prior to my first session, I measured my stomach and weighted myself, 34inchs and 171lbs. Kiya walked me through the entire process using her soothing voice. It’s hard not to think the worst when you have a tube going up your anal canal. I felt a bit of discomfort at first but that’s normal especially since I am not used to anything going inside that hole. I was provided with a heating pad to help with my cramps. Cramps form when you have accumulation of hardened matter in the colon. When I wasn’t feeling any cramps, I must say it was relaxing and refreshing. I felt my stomach getting smaller and less bloated.

When you visit a medical office, you pay for your service, get your desired treatment, and leave. But Kiya goes the extra mile. During my session, I learned a lot about my body, my food intake, and what I needed to do moving forward. I discovered the reasoning for my bloating is not due to not working out enough but due to the type of food intake I consume.

My Summer Body Result:

After my first session, I loss 2 inches around my waist and 6lbs. Kiya’s bedside manner and meticulous attention to detail encouraged me to purchase a package including three more appointments to cleanse my body.
